Nancy L. Baldwin


Nancy L. Baldwin, 67, of Tremont City, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, June 8, 2008 in The Ohio State University Hospital.

She was born on August 15, 1940 in Springfield the daughter of Doris C. (Rhodes) Weeks.

She retired from Northwestern Elementary School as Head Cook after twenty-five years of service. Nancy enjoyed bowling and spending a lunch with her long time high school girlfriends. She especially loved caring and supporting her grandchildren by being at sporting events and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Donald L. Baldwin of Tremont City; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Doreen and Timothy Jones of Springfield; Arleen and Sonny Thompson of Springfield; Charleen Baldwin and Rodney Powell of Tremont City; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Kim Baldwin of Urbana; one sister and brother-in-law, Mickie and Danny DeWitt of Springfield; eight grandchildren: Justin, Amanda, Timothy, Todd, Jenifer, Cole, Felicia, and Sarrah; two nephews, and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one daughter, Raeleen Yvonne Baldwin, and one grandson, Jason.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Walter Mock officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
