Mary Margaret Burns


Mary Margaret Burns, 81, a former resident of Springfield Towers, passed away at 7:45 AM Saturday, December 15, 2007 in Eaglewood Care Center.

She was born January 22, 1926 in Welch, West Virginia the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Brooks) Wimmer.

Mrs. Burns was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and the American Business Womens Association. She was retired from Dresser Industries and had been a courier for the News Sun.

Survivors include three children; Patrick (Teresa) Burns and Ben (Dianne) Burns of Springfield, Melanie Arao of Watsonville, California, four grandchildren; Adam and Rachael Burns, Springfield, Brian Arao and Katie Alanis of Watsonville, one sister Evelyn (Dr. LeRoy) Goodson. Columbus, one brother Wesley Wimmer, Louisville, Kentucky and a special nephew Parker Goodson, Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Burns and her parents.

Friends may call in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME form 5 until 8 PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with Father Dennis Caylor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Mrs. Burns' family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Eaglewood Care Center for the love and care they extended to their Mother during her stay.
