Marvin N. Burks

Marvin N. Burks, 56 of Springfield, Ohio departed this life Thursday, November 8, 2007 in his residence.

He was born March 23, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Richard Eugene Burks and the late Phylis (Carter) Burks.

Marvin married his high school sweetheart, the late Krystale (Pratt) Burks, April 1, 1971 and from that union they had three sons; Marvin Jr., Christopher (Janelle), Jeremy (Sharice) and another son; Andre. He also leaves to cherish his memory a sister; Betty Jean Howard, and a brother; Michael Micky Burks, ten grandchildren; Whitney, Brandy, Taffini, Andre, Christopher Jr., Alysia, Krysten, Cyndi, Andrea and Cloie, special aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers; Richard and Robin Burks.

Marvin retired from Navistar International and was also employed as a semi truck driver. He served as a minister and musician at the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 6-7 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Family Worship Center, 623 S. Center Street. Memorial services will follow in the church at 7 p.m. Arrangements by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
