Marjorie Doris Gollner Brosnan


Marjorie Doris Gollner Brosnan, 92, passed away on December 10, 2008 in Villa Springfield Health Care Center, Springfield, Ohio. She was born on October 14, 1916 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of George and Catherine (Palmer) Gollner.

A resident of Fairfield, CT before coming to Ohio, she was a loving and dutiful wife for 33 years who cared for her ill husband, Stanley Brosnan until he passed away, June 16, 1999.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her son Dennis Brooker in 1985.

An avid bowler who once represented the State of Connecticut in the WBA National Finals in Florida for her age bracket, Marjorie leaves behind 5 children from her first marriage, Walter Brooker of Springfield, Ohio; Diane Cenname of Wappinger Falls, NY; Richard Brooker of Dayton, Ohio; Judith DiVito, of Hopewell, NY; and Paul Brooker of Port Charlotte, FL. She enjoyed the company of her 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Local arrangements entrusted to the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
