Mabel L. Boster


Mabel L. Boster, 92, of Springfield died at 6:10 a.m. Thursday September 6, 2007 in the I.O.O.F Home.

She was born in Champaign County, Ohio on May 30, 1915 the daughter of Ben and Angie (Petty) Orahood. She had been employed by Robertson Can Co. for a number of years until her retirement.

Survivors include four children and spouses John A. Boster, Charles C. and Maggie Boster Jr., Charlotte and Don Ryman all of Springfield, Cora Mae and Dale Spence, Phoenix, AZ., three sisters Jessie Burroughs, Waynesville, Ohio, Ruth Sowers, Springfield and Margaret Hammett, Phoenix, AZ. Nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles C. in 1981, a daughter Betty Louise Skidmore and three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the chapel at Ferncliff Cemetery with Pastor James Christian officiating. Family will receive friends ½ hour prior to the service. Arrangement by Conroy Funeral Home.
