Melinda Blanton


Melinda Blanton, 39, of New Carlisle, after an extended illness, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2008 while surrounded by family in her home.

She was born on September 4, 1968 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of Dan and Patti (Polverini) Ford.

Melinda graduated from Grace Baptist School in 1986. She was employed by Lazarus/Lancome Paris for many years. Melinda made many friends throughout her life and treated everyone she knew as family, and will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors are her loving husband Jim Blanton of New Carlisle; her parents of Rosewood; brothers Richard (Misty), Bill, David, Anthony, Patrick, Corey and Ben; sisters Maria (Jon) McAtee, Betsi and Pinki; father-in-law, Calvin Blanton; sister-in-law Vickie (Larry) Reed; nieces and nephews Jayme (Roger) Randall, Elizabeth (Mike) Adams, Joslynn Reed, Andrew, Taylor, and Aiden Ford, Jeffrey and Ria McAtee, and many aunts uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother- in-law Donna Blanton.

The family will receive friends from 4:00- 7:00P.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the Fellowship Christian Church 2301 Valley Loop Road, Springfield, OH where the funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, May, 28, 2008 with Rick Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Urbana, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made in Melindas memory to the Grace International, Inc. Feed the Childrens Program, P. O. Box 172508, Hialeah, FL 33017. The family is being served by the WALTER-SCHODINGER FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, OH.
