Mary Kathryn Birt


Mary Kathryn Birt, 95, a resident of the Ohio Masonic Home, passed away Thursday morning, September 4, 2008.

Mary Kathryn, daughter of Elmer and Blanche (Lutz) Birt, was born January 29, 1913 in Lawrenceville where she lived most of her life.

She retired from the Ohio Masonic Home after 25 years of service. Mary Kathryn was a very Christian lady and a member of the Lawrenceville United Church of Christ.

She is survived by one nephew and his wife, Jim and Donna Huffman and family, two great nephews and nieces, Mike (Donna) Wagner, Tony (Patty) Wagner, Vicki (Toney) Chaney, and Kimberly Farley and their families, and Richard Wagner, husband of her late niece, Barbara Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Laura Ellen Crew.

Mary Kathryn's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Ohio Masonic Home with Chaplain Bruce Vincent officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

She will be laid to rest in Lawrenceville Cemetery located adjacent to the church.
