Larry Gene Bixler


Larry Gene Bixler, 53 of Springfield, formerly of Englewood, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 following a brief illness.

He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend.

He was born on December 2, 1954 in Springfield the son of Paul E. and Alice J. (Winks) Bixler.

He owned and operated the Rax Restaurant in Englewood for many years where he used his business to support local organizations and schools. Most recently he was employed by MedTrans of Springfield where he had developed many close friends.

Larry is survived by his loving friend and former wife, Dawn Bixler of Englewood, three daughters and a son-in-law: Amy Bixler, Amanda (Bixler) and Jarod Williams, and Marissa Bixler all of Englewood; three grandchildren: Alexis, Cameron, and Abigail, one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Katherine Bixler of Dayton, and one sister, Connie Bixler of Springfield, and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 6:00 pm at the Dayton Christian Union Church, 1718 Rauch Ave., Dayton. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for his daughter Marissa; Larry Bixler Memorial Fund, c/o The National City Bank, Englewood, Ohio.

The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY.
