James S. Boeke


James S. Boeke, 68, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center - East High St. Campus.

He was born on December 17, 1939 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio the son of Julian and Francis (Holthaus) Boeke. Jim was in sales most of his life working primarily at Coy Distributing and retiring from Standard Coffee. He was a twenty-five plus year active member of Alcoholics-Anonymous.

He is survived by his four children and their spouses: Timothy Boeke of Mississippi; Kim and Buck Wade of Springfield; Joseph and Christina Boeke of Mississippi; and Tamela Gutierrez of California; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sister, Angie Albers of Ft. Loramie, two brothers and their spouses, Maurice and Grace Boeke of Minster, and Urban and Ginny Boeke of Ft. Loramie, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Al and Virgil.

A gathering of family and friends will be held October 4, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will follow the visitation at 8:30 p.m. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Boeke Memorial Fund, c/o Security National Bank, 1756 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH 45503.
