Jack Blevins


Jack Blevins, 86, formerly of Springfield died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in Mt. Juliet, TN.

He was born in Ashland, KY on May 18, 1921 the son of Thomas and Margaret (Griffeth) Blevins.

He owned and operated Columbus Ave Marine for twenty years and was a US Army Air Corp WW 2 veteran.

Survivors include three children and spouses Roger and Connie Blevins, Mt. Juliet, TN, Connie and Tom Langston, Ormond Beach, FL and Linda Miller, Springfield; six grandchildren Kimberly Blevins, Tony Blevins, Joshua Langston, Rachel Howard, Jacob Langston and Charles Miller and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Blevins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Craig Grammer officiating. Family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
