Ivan L. Bangart


Ivan L. Bangart, 91, of Springfield, died Tuesday July 10, 2007 in Eaglewood Care Center. He was born May 22, 1916 in Clark County, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Olive (Sheley) Bangart.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Janice and William Gregory of Springfield; step-daughter, Sally Stumpf and husband Scott Quimby of Springfield; sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Ray Lewis of Portland, Oregon; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Mary (Slentz) Bangart and second wife Willa (Peacock) Bangart and two brothers, Carl and Floyd and two grandsons.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday July 14, 2007 in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, with funeral services to be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Julie Carmean, officiating. A private graveside service will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the donor's favorite charity.
