Hazel P. Brown
Hazel P. Brown, 87, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Mercy St. John's Center. She was born in Rose Hill, Virginia on February 18, 1922, the daughter of Jacob Meb and Onohlee (Fulton) Estep.
Hazel was a homemaker and a charter member of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter J. Brown, sister Jean Estep Perkins, brothers Bruce, Promer, Dale, Carson, Shultz, and Donald Estep.
Hazel has left to cherish her memory two sons and daughters in law Norman W. (Barbara) Brown of Knoxville, TN and Jerry D. (Barbara K.) Brown of Columbia, SC, one sister and brother in law Judy (Ben) Lamm of Springfield, one brother Willard Estep of Ewing, VA, three grandchildren Kevin (Kerrie) and Jason Brown both of Knoxville, TN, and Jennifer Brown of Charleston, SC, three great-grandchildren Carlie, Connor, and Colin Brown all of Knoxville, TN.
A celebration of Hazel's life will be Friday, March 20, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where visitation will be one hour prior to services with Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
