Hilda Randolph Boggs


Hilda Randolph Boggs, 78, of Springfield passed away January 28, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born January 13, 1931 in Berea, West Virginia, the daughter of Blondy Fitz & Joyce Marie (Jones) Randolph.

Hilda is known locally, nationally and internationally for her work with the Vizsla dog breed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Odell Randolph, sister in law Doris Randolph, brother in law Jack Dempsey and niece Kim Randolph.

She is survived by her husband Bernard Clifton Boggs of 58 years, and were married while they attended West Virginia University.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Boggs, Drs. Nancy & David Heinold, two sons Randy & Sue Boggs and Carl Boggs, grandchildren Leah and Becca Boggs, two brothers Edward Randolph, and Charles & Dixie Randolph, one sister Ada Jean Dempsey, sister in law June Randolph and several nieces and nephews including Chuck Randolph, Debbie & Terry Kleinline, Judy & Frank Saltzman, Brian & Beth Randolph and Sean & Karen Randolph; Scott Randolph; Sally & John Wells, Jim & Lisa Dempsey, and Jonelle & Bob Bell, as well as many great nieces and nephews; also very special people who include Mike & Becky Meyers and family.

A celebration of Hilda's life will be Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home with Rev. William Reisenweaver officiating. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow in Vale Cemetery.
