Hester S. Bennett


Hester S. Bennett, 83, of Springfield died Sunday, January 18, 2009 in the Ohio Masonic Home following several years of failing health.

She was born November 22, 1925 in East Liverpool, Ohio the daughter of Albert and Anna (Wilkinson) Humphrey. Mrs. Bennett enjoyed quilting and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

She is survived by one sister-in-law Delores Humphrey of Springfield; several step children, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Combs; second husband Charles A. Bennett; three sisters Sarah Jaffe, Frances Bailey and Helen Simmons; four brothers Bob, John, Fred and Tom Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM. in the chapel at Ferncliff Cemetery with her nephew Ray Clark officiating. The family will receive visitors in the chapel from 1-2 PM. The family is being served by the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
