Donna E. Ballard


Donna E. Ballard, 77, of New Carlisle, died at 5:24 p.m. March 24, 2009 in her residence. She was born August 4, 1931 in Springfield, the daughter of Robert E. & N. May Peck.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ballard, one daughter, Irene, her parents, sister, Doris Horton, two grandsons and one great granddaughter.

She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Eilene & Don Clayborn of New Carlisle, Sandy & Rich Albert of Vandalia, Ohio, Sharon & Chris Rupert of New Carlisle, Patty Faustman of Kettering, Ohio, Robin Poffenberger of New Carlisle; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce & Lynn Ballard of Trotwood, Ohio, Ron & Barb Ballard of New Lebanon, Ohio, Jerry & Kim Ballard of Kettering, Ohio, Woody & Robin Bowers of New Carlisle; twenty two grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Peck, Jr. of Athens, Ohio, sister, Leona Smith of Springfield; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives & friends.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday March 27, 2009 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
