David S. Baldwin


David S. Baldwin, 69, of South Charleston passed away Wednesday evening, December 31, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus.

He was born February 16, 1939 in Oil Springs, Kentucky, the son of Sherman D. and Olga (Picklesimer) Baldwin.

David work as a meat cutter at A&P Grocery and retired from Navistar in 1996 with 34½ years of service. He was a member of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, and avid gardener and a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandpa. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Judy (Dean) Baldwin; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Rick Bissaillon of Beavercreek, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Johanna Baldwin of Springfield; one sister, Phyllis Greene of Loveland, Ohio; six grandchildren, Joe (Nicole) Bissaillon of Maineville, Ohio, Mike Bissaillon of Beavercreek, Ohio, Krystal, Alycia, Shayna and Sierra Ann Baldwin of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Rita Kay and Karen Sue Baldwin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service in the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 2650 Hilldale Road, Springfield, Ohio with Reverend James Reed officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
