Charles Truman Blazer


Charles Truman Blazer, 61, of Springfield, passed away at 5:43 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in Community Hospital. He was born August 5, 1947 in Lima, Ohio, the son of Ernest and Ruth (Dennis) Blazer.

Mr. Blazer enjoyed spending time with his friends at Forest Lake. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and Navy and had been employed in construction and as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; Mary (McDonald) Blazer, two children; Tina (James) Barber, South Vienna and John Blazer, Springfield, three grandsons; Troy, Chris and Jamie, one sister; Patti (Dean) Burton, Springfield, several nieces and nephews and special friends; Jerry Baisden, Spike Pryor and the friends at Forest Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Alan Cain officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
