Barbara C. Breslin


Barbara C. Breslin, 77, of Springfield died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Good Shepherd Village. She was born in South Charleston, Ohio on September 28, 1931, the daughter of Carl and Wilametta (Hodge) Hopkins.

Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed home decorating, Bingo, arts and crafts. She also loved playing the lottery and appeared on the Cash Explosion TV Show in 1989.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Melissa Kinnaird; and one brother and two sisters.

She has left to cherish her memory one daughter Tammie (Kris Bahan) Breslin; three sons and daughters in law, Keith (Penny) Breslin, Phillip (Brenda) Breslin all of Springfield Robbie (Roberta) Breslin of Ada, OK; one brother and sister in law William (Betty) Hopkins; four sisters Dorothy Gano, Marcella Donohoe, Becky Banks, and Dixie Seacat all of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren including a special great-granddaughter Courtney Bowshier; many nieces and nephews, including her nephew Mike Breslin, whom she raised for 10 years.

Family and friends may call Friday, December 26, 2008 from 6-8 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. A celebration of Barbara's life will be Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:30 am in the memorial home with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
