Alvera D. Beninghaus


Alvera D. Beninghaus, 95, of Springfield and formerly of Cincinnati, died Monday afternoon, June 4, 2007 in Heartland of Springfield. She was born in Cincinnati on May 23, 1912 the daughter of George and Elfreda (Hafner) Heutle.

Alvera worked as an office manager for Powell-Crosley Company and AVCO. She was a long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Bridgetown Rd.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Karen Beninghaus of Springfield, two grandchildren, Joshua (Nikki) Beninghaus and Rachel Welch, and a great grandson, Cole Beninghaus. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Cogan Beninghaus in 1995.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Old Cemetery, Cincinnati.
