Virginia M. Andrews


Virginia M. "Mama" Andrews, 82, of Springfield, died Friday morning, April 18, 2008 in her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 5, 1925 the daughter of Louis and Susan (Hann) Eanes.

Mama is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Andrews; five children and spouses, Carol Gannon of Youngstown, Arizona, Charlene (John) Certain of South Charleston, Jack Louis (Jackie) Andrews of Marion, Ohio, Michael (Karen) Andrews of Tyler, Texas, and David (Debbie) Andrews also of Marion, Ohio; a sister, Elsie Divers of Torrance, California; a brother, William (Nancy) Eanes of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nancy Ivory; and three brothers, Charles, Louis and Stanley Eanes.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
