Violet M. (Cox) Adler


Violet M. (Cox) Adler, 99, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in the Oakwood Village.

She was born on January 23, 1909 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of William F. and Mary (Davis) Cox.

She was a member of the Fifth Evangelical Lutheran Church and worked many years as a private nurse.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and James Weick of Florida, one son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Bella Adler of Columbus; one step sister, Elaine (Judy) Alden of Springfield, one brother, William Cox of South Carolina, four grandchildren: Richard, Shari, James, and Steven; ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Victor G. Adler, two step sisters, and one step brother.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 3-5 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am with Pastor Carol Gesalman officiating. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
