Loleita Elizabeth Arthur
Loleita Elizabeth Arthur, 97, of Springfield, passed away on January 17, 2008 in Villa of Springfield.
She was born on July 15, 1910 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Rudd) Schneider.
She retired from Madison County Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. Loleita was a longtime member of the Plattsburg Homemakers Club, lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and volunteered for the St. John's outreach store for many years.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Max Martindale of Cedarville, and Marilyn Deards and Ken Simmons of Brookings, Oregon; one son, Jack Arthur of Springfield, six grandchildren and their spouses: Greg and Gail Martindale, Jeff Martindale, Brent Martindale, Kent and Jennifer Martindale, Amanda and Jay Smith, and Joshua Arthur; seven great grandchildren: Brandi, Ben, Nathan, Rachel, Rebekah, Blaire, and Dain; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil C. Arthur in 1967, one sister, two brothers, and one grandson, Wesley Dunham.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the time of service. Burial will be in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
